Big Bob Needs a Home!!!

I rescued this BIG LOVE from the South LA Animal Shelter this past week! He was quite stressed and scared at South LA and so he was immediately Redlisted and labeled as feral. Well, it turned out that when he went for his exit evalutation, they realized he was already neutered... I knew at this point, that he could possibly have been a very nice boy afterall. When I picked him up on Thursday, it was clear that this BIG BOY was just very scared, but the nicest guy you will ever meet. He is almost 15 pounds of pure love and needs a place to go (as the feral yard will clearly not be suitable). Some named him Big Tom... others named him Big Bob... and so now others are calling him Big Tom-Bob!!! Big Tom-Bob (you may choose ;) will be at Laurel Pet Hospital today getting all checked out and becoming even more handsome than he already is, but will really need a place to go home to soon!!! You will absolutely love this BIG BOY and if I didn't already have way too many, I would want to keep him too...
Please forward to everyone you know...
Thanks so much, Stacy
PS: Also, any donations for boarding Big Tom-Bob would also be very much appreciated!
Thanks again for all your help!

Got yard?

Got Yard? Please Help These 7 "Ferals" or perhaps just TERRIFIED cats of the South LA Shelter Make It Out Alive. We are their only hope! The highlighted cats on this list are past their 7 days on the Redlist or will be by tomorrow (For example, the 7 day RED ALERT IS ALREADY UP FOR A1084844)! Hidden away at the South LA Annex, terrified after being trapped and stuck in a cage, often injuring themselves on the trap in desperation to get out, these very young animals are some of the most hopeless and sad at our shelters, usually just euth'ed after their holding period is up. Some do not even get a photo, so if they were someone's trapped cat, nobody would ever even know it.
Please crosspost for yards, garages, colonies to recolonize these babies in so they can enjoy the sun once again. Many thanks for all your help getting the word out!!!
If you would like any information on these kitts or can possibly rescue one, please contact the South LA Shelter ASAP at 213/485-0117 or 0119 or visit at 3612 11th Avenue, Los Angeles, CA 90018 off Crenshaw and Jefferson. Feel free to also call to put an IP on one if you are interested, which should keep them safe for 24 hours. Otherwise, thank you so very much for any CROSSPOSTING you could possibly do... MANY THANKS AS ALWAYS!!!

2 more kitts due to die TODAY at the South L.A. Shelter!!!

These sisters (Ashling: A1079323 and Inaya: A1079324) were impounded at the South LA Animal Shelter on December 1st. They were then both Red Alerted on 1/8 DUE TO AGE... Therefore, they both need out of the shelter by FRIDAY, 1/15!!! They are each about 7-8 years old, according to the shelter. Martha, shelter supervisor, says they were both scared upon impound, but are currently doing much better!!!

INAYA - ID#A1079324

My name is Inaya and I am an unaltered female, brown and white Domestic Shorthair.

The shelter thinks I am about 8 years old.

I have been at the shelter since Dec 01, 2009.

This information is less than 1 hour old

This animal record may be found here

ASHLING - ID#A1079323

MANY THANKS AS ALWAYS!!!

Save these two terrified kitts at the South L.A. Shelter!!! Due to die today :(

These 2 adorable tuxedo kitts (ID#A1084228 and ID#A1084229) were dumped together at the South LA Animal Shelter on December 30th. The people who dropped them off said they were "strays", however, according to shelter supervisor, Martha, they were probably "owned" cats at they are altered (spayed and neutered), fat :), clean, and healthy looking.

A1084228 (the neutered male) was Red Alerted on 1/4/10 (so already PAST HIS 7 DAYS ON THE REDLIST!!!). Martha has kindly extended his time, however, until this Friday 1/15!!! He was Redlisted for behavior...they say he hisses and spits, but I have found that these owner surrendered cats are usually more than likely only terrified and turn out to be very sweet once out of the shelter!

He was dropped off with A1084229 (the spayed female) who is shy but very nice, according to shelter supervisor, Martha. She is not yet Redlisted, however it would be nice to see them be rescued together!

If you would like any information on these kitts or can possibly rescue one, please contact the South LA Shelter ASAP at 213/485-0117 or 0119 or visit them at 3612 11th Avenue, Los Angeles, CA 90018 off Crenshaw and Jefferson.
